And it was due to incidents like these that our founder Will recognised this pressing safety issue: line markings in car parks and streets were often faded and overlooked, their importance often relegated in the background in comparison to other safety assets.
Drawing upon his extensive background in customer relations and office management, Will knew he had the expertise to address this critical need for enhanced safety and marking solutions in the community.
Thus, in 2017, UPM was born as a family venture, brimming with promise. However, the unforeseen challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to pause our operations for a brief period. Undeterred by adversity, and with renewed determination, we resurfaced, reinvigorated, quite ready to make a resounding impact on Northland again.
At the tail end of 2021, UPM reclaimed its rightful place in the marking industry. We dusted off our safety boots and embarked on a fresh chapter of our journey. Since then, we have proudly served various regions, stretching from Hamilton all the way up to Kaitaia.
